If you’re a fan of ombré, the gradual blending of one color to another, you’ll fall in love with these new wallpapers by Murals Wallpaper. The inside of my house is painted completely white and I add in color through artwork or accessories but these wallpapers have me rethinking everything! I love spotting new trends and this is one that I think will catch on. Both calming and beautiful, the wallpapers are a stunningly stylish way to dress up your home. You can buy them here.

20 Novelty Clutches That are Quirky and Fun
As a person who likes to spot trends, it makes me excited when I see one that’s both quirky and cool. Lately, temporary tattoos, enamel pins, flamingo pool floats, and patches have been all the rage but something I’m seeing more and more these days are novelty clutches. During Paris fashion week, stylish lifestyle blogger Chriselle Lim sported a chic Erin Fetherson bag that had a doll face on the front (see last one in this post). Of course, you can always count on Betsy Johnson and Kate Spade to come out with their own creative versions. Since I grew up in the ’80s, I’m all about that Pac-Man ghost purse. Just to note, some of these are so popular they’re already sold out. Nevertheless, enjoy the list.

20 Stunning Pieces of Celestial Jewelry
What better way to show your love of space than to wear one of these accessories. From necklaces to earrings, I’ve rounded up some of the most breathtakingly beautiful pieces of art you can actually wear. My favorite is the one immediately below, the solar system necklace. Talk about turning heads! Of course, I’m partial to anything that show off a rainbow of colors.
Dare I say that that celestial jewelry is a trend?
Hope you enjoy this list. P.S. I want them all!

Finally! An Everyday Bag for Moms and Photographers
Friend and photographer Trey Ratcliff recently shared news of a Kickstarter project on his Facebook page. Peak Design is a company based in San Francisco that makes bags. Of course, these just aren’t any bags. They’re bags that are versatile, durable, and beautiful. Though their four new styles start with the name “Everyday” they’re more than just ordinary. After watching the video you’ll be impressed by how much thought goes into every detail of their bags. (I sat mesmerized throughout the whole video.)
At first, I wanted to get the Everyday backpack but after watching the video, I think the tote suits me better. It’s made for the photographer, the mom, and the gym rat in that it can act as a camera bag, a diaper bag, or a gym bag. I’ve been on the lookout for a classic bag that I can carry my camera in along with some diapers but what ultimately sold me was a very small but significant detail, the magnetic closure. I like how the bag can easily open and close.
There’s multiple ways you wear this bag including backpack style, which is great.
In no way am I getting paid to tell you about this bag. I just love to spread the word when I see good, well-designed products. I backed the company this morning. They don’t need me, however, they’re well past their goal of $500,000. Almost 5,300 backers pledged $1.2 million dollars already. (They surpassed $1 million in 24 hours.) And there’s still 57 days to go! Can’t wait for my bag. (I’m getting it in charcoal. Love the classic, red accents.)
Only one caveat is that I’m hoping it can snuggly fit my DSLR. It looks a little small but, fingers crossed, it’ll all work out.
This is Peak Design’s 6th Kickstarter project. Here’s what they promise. “We don’t want to toot our own horn too vigorously (nobody likes an overly vigorous tooter) but we’ve got some great experience under our belts on how to manufacture high-quality goods and fulfill lots of orders for them. We’ve also been blindsided more than once by completely unexpected issues and always dealt with them in a way that leaves every last customer happy with their purchase and proud to support our company.
“In short, we know what we’re doing, and you should be very confident that we will deliver what we say we will, when we say we will. And we solemnly swear that should unforeseen issues come up, we will handle them with the utmost transparency and care for you, our backers.”
You can find more about this product at Kickstarter.
The Rainbow Accordion Dress
I’ve been looking for ways to update my wardrobe so I was delighted to come upon this dress! Sold in black or pink, the dress is simple until you get towards the bottom. That’s where you’ll find accordion style pleats in different colors of the rainbow. It’s minimalism and rainbows in one! Called the Ericdress Color Block Patchwork Short Sleeve Round Neck Casual Dress, it’s a steal right now at $26.03. I couldn’t help but buy it in both colors. The review are fairly good, 4 out of 5 stars with 24 reviews. I just hope it comes out as pretty as it looks.
Because I was in a dress buying mood, I also scooped up this pretty wrap dress at Scoutmob. (I love the dainty elegance of cap sleeves.)

Cute Ceramic Mugs of Animals and Weather by Beardbangs
How cute are these mugs by Beardbangs? I found these on Miss Moss’ blog post titled Goodies No. 28. Love the clever use of the handles. Though a little pricey, at about $30 each, see it as something you’d use every day, especially if you drink coffee.
The ceramics are made in Montreal, Canada.
“Each piece is thrown on the potter’s wheel with white, stoneware clay that is sourced in North America. The pieces are then decorated with colourful engobes (tinted, liquid clay) and/or deep black underglaze. The pieces are fired to about 1950°f, then coated in transparent glaze, then fired again to about 2200f°. This process makes the pieces dishwasher and microwave safe, and non-toxic as always.
“Each piece is handmade, so your order will look like the one in the photo with its own touch of uniqueness.”

20 Awesome Enamel Pins I’d Totally Rock
Time to ditch the brooches. Lately, it’s all about pins! Over the past few years, I’ve seen the rise of enamel pins. Recently, I’ve been thinking about buying a bunch of them and decorating them on my jean jacket. The new batches are as funny as ever. Enamel pins are a different way to show your personality plus they have this retro/cool quality to them. Wear them on your denim jacket or sport them on your backpack. Here are twenty of them that caught my eye. A lot of these are tiny, measuring just 1″, so wear them alone, as a mini statement, or show them all off in a cluster.

Bottled Up Feelings Enamel Pin by
“I’ve been slowly bottling up my feelings for a long time. Feel a feel, put it in the jar and screw the lid on tight. When it’s safe, open the jar carefully and let some out. Enjoy one on a nice day. Sneak a few on a cold winter night. Spread some on toast over the weekend. Or hey, you could keep bottling them up until the jar bursts. Whatever feels right for you.”

I Feel Great Enamel Pin
“Tell it like it is! No reason to be shy, if you feel great, feel great! Also functions as the exact opposite. ‘How are you doing?’ ‘Great.’ ‘Okay, really?’ ‘I said, I feel great. Leave me the hell alone. So how do you really feel? Guess that’s up to you to know, and everyone else to find out.”

You Tried Enamel Pin
“You say consolation prize, I say HEY IT’S A PRIZE, PRIZES ARE COOL. Who cares if you win or lose as long as you make an effort? This enamel pin is as shiny as any trophy, but unlike a trophy, you can wear this and make people look at it every single day. Take that, first place. Also, can we be real for a second? Sometimes it takes a LOT of effort to even try at all. I feel like it’s not unreasonable to celebrate trying. Actually, this is something I’ve thought about before. Pair this with the AT LEAST YOU’RE STILL TRYING ribbon for the ultimate ‘hang in there’ gift.”

12 Father’s Day Gifts for the Modern Dad
Shopping for Father’s Day is tough, especially when your dad or husband has everything. Today, I’ve rounded up 12 gifts that any modern dad would love. Some items I’ve already given to Sam but most are items I think he’d enjoy.
Above: The I-1 Analog Instant Camera has been deemed the Polaroid of the future. It is the first new camera system in over 20 years in the original instant format. It’s an easy point and shoot instant camera that has a uniquely designed LED ring flash. It’s retro-modern goodness.
Here’s a great gift for any father who has a son who looks just like him. Copy and Paste by ThePaintedTee. (Parker looks so much like his father, I had to scoop a set up. Shhh don’t tell Sam.)
Have you ever seen a watch like this? This Faceless Watch tells time with LEDs built into the band. The hidden LEDs form red digital numbers at the press of a button. Otherwise, it just looks like a fancy chain.
I got this lightweight full zip sweater in charcoal heather for Sam and he absolutely loves it! He gets hot pretty easily so this is perfect for him on those slightly chilly nights.
The Chart of Cosmic Exploration is hand-illustrated renderings of every orbiter, lander, rover, flyby, and impactor to ever successfully be in the Earth’s orbit, plus all of the pretty planets in our solar system.
When shut, the Lumio Book Lamp looks like an elegant hardcover book bound in laser-cut wood. Open it up, however, and it transforms into a beautiful sculpture of light. The Lumio was made by San Francisco-based designer Max Gunawan, who has a fascination with origami.
It’s simple, it’s sleek and it’s understatedly cool. The Brown iPhone Wallet by Edward Field holds both your iPhone and your cash. Crafted from full-grain Italian calfskin leather, the wallet has slots for cards, pockets for receipts and cash, and attaches to the phone with an innovative micro-suction foam sheet.
How cool would it be to zoom around in these? The Monkeylectric Monkey Light are animated bicycle spoke lights that give viewers a fun light show. Just order two so you can show off both wheels.
Called Funkalicious by Christopher Golebiowski, this is one t-shirt that will never go out of style. It’s retro-goodness. Love that the astronaut is carrying an old school boombox.
For the guy who has everything, there’s Deep Sea Sand Art. Watch as this desk sculpture forms natural landscapes with sand.
Have you heard about the Levi’s x Google Jacquard Commuter Trucker Jacket? It’s not out yet (sorry!) but it’s the beginning of a new wave of smart clothing. This is a biking-friendly jacket that will let you handle incoming calls, adjust volume, and bring up navigation info. It also talks to your phone over Bluetooth. Don’t worry, we’ll put it on next year’s wish list.
The Scotchgard Sk8-Hi Slim Zip by Vans is a cool high top with a zipper at the heel. I like the unique touch.
Bonus:
What do you give the guy who has everything? If he’s a Star Wars fan, check out these cool bookends by MokuShop. (Their Mario Wood Coasters are cute, too.)
Beautiful Faux Bouquets by Abigail Ahern
Though I love getting fresh flowers, I’m terrible at keeping them alive. That’s why when I saw these beautiful faux bouquets on Terrain’s website I thought these would be perfect! They’re remarkably realistic and the best part is you don’t have to water them. English designer Abigail Ahern hand-assembles each bouquet and creates beautiful combinations of flowers. My favorite is Lavender Meadow (which you see above). It’s made of tiny blossoms in shades of periwinkle and lavender. Set in a tin jar, it looks rustic yet timeless. (Since I love the smell of lavender, I’d probably buy this mist to go along with it.)
The flowers are not dried. They’re made of silk, plastic and wire. I never knew that silk flowers could look so realistic!
Green Hydrangea Faux Bouquet
White Meadow Faux Bouquet
I’m also loving this dried rose and Larkspur bouquet and this dried globe amaranth bunch in red. Also, this faux magnolia branch would look classic in a simple blue vase, as pictured. It almost looks like the wind is blowing it.
